Relocora ("Relocora", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal data when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services").

    • destination country and city
    • planned move timeframe
    • employment status (e.g. employed, freelancer, student, retired, joining family)
    • household composition (solo, partner, family)
    • whether the move includes pets
    • whether the user already has:
      • a local bank account (yes/no)
      • a local mobile phone plan (yes/no)
      • secured housing or a signed lease (yes/no)
  • Communications with us (support requests, feedback, surveys)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Device and browser information
  • Usage and interaction data (e.g. feature usage, navigation events)
  • Technical logs, error reports, and crash diagnostics

This data is collected using tools such as PostHog and Sentry.

2.3 Data We Do Not Collect

Relocora is designed to minimize the collection of personal data. We do not collect or store:

  • age or date of birth
  • income levels or salary information
  • health or medical information
  • passport numbers or copies of identity documents
  • tax identification numbers
  • bank account numbers
  • phone numbers
  • exact residential addresses

Where certain setup questions reference topics such as banking, housing, or mobile service, we collect only high-level yes/no or categorical responses for the purpose of tailoring checklists and recommendations.

3. Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS)

Relocora is designed using a Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS) architecture.

  • Files you link or select (e.g. from Google Drive) are not uploaded to or stored on Relocora servers
  • Relocora processes only references, metadata, and permissions required to provide the requested functionality
  • File access occurs only at your request and only for the duration necessary to perform the action
  • This design supports data minimization and privacy-by-design principles.

4. Document Dossiers & File Generation

When you choose to generate a relocation dossier (such as a folder of shortcuts or a compiled document):

  • Dossiers are generated on demand
  • The resulting file is downloaded directly to your device
  • Relocora does not store, retain, or archive generated dossiers on its servers
  • Clear notices are provided within the product before dossier generation.

5. How We Use Personal Data

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Providing and operating the Services
  • Creating and managing user accounts
  • Personalizing relocation checklists, timelines, and guidance to reduce unnecessary or irrelevant tasks
  • Providing contextual, personalized responses through AI-powered features, based on the relocation details you have chosen to provide (such as employment status or whether you are relocating with pets)
  • Enabling document linking and dossier creation
  • Providing customer support
  • Ensuring security, preventing abuse, and maintaining service integrity
  • Complying with legal and regulatory obligations

6. Legal Bases for Processing (EU & Switzerland)

For users in the EU and Switzerland, personal data is processed under the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR)
  • Consent, where required (Article 6(1)(a))
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), such as service improvement and fraud prevention
  • Legal obligations, where applicable

7. AI-Powered Features

Relocora may offer AI-powered features that provide informational recommendations related to relocation planning.

When you use AI features:

  • Inputs may be processed by third-party AI providers (e.g. OpenAI) solely to provide the requested functionality
  • Relocora does not use your personal data to train its own AI models
  • AI-generated outputs are informational only and may be inaccurate or incomplete
  • You are encouraged to independently verify important information.

The AI features may take into account information from your Relocora profile and onboarding responses (such as destination country, employment status, or family situation) in order to provide more relevant and accurate relocation guidance. You are not required to re-enter this information each time you use the AI features.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

We may share personal data with:

  • Service providers acting as data processors (e.g. hosting, analytics, AI providers)
  • Public authorities, where required by law
  • Other parties with your explicit consent

All processors are subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality, and security safeguards.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:

  • provide the Services,
  • fulfill contractual obligations,
  • comply with legal requirements.

Relocation profile data is retained only while your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and may be deleted or updated by you at any time.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting support@relocora.com.

10. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Relocora uses limited cookies and similar technologies for:

  • authentication and session management
  • security
  • basic analytics

Where required by law (including in the EU and France), consent mechanisms are provided.
